SOUTH AFRICA, 1901.
Alleen is a contained historical drama exploring isolation, uncertainty and survival against the vast landscape of wartime South Africa.
Told primarily through the experience of one woman, the film approaches the period through silence, routine, and the slow erosion of safety, rather than focusing on the larger battles of the war. Her daily routines continue as the situation around her changes, forcing her to become increasingly self-reliant as the war draws closer.
THE PROJECT
NOW IN PRE-PRODUCTION
Following an August 2026 test shoot and location recce in South Africa, Alleen has entered the next stage of production.
With its primary filming location secured and the South African production team taking shape, preparations are now underway for the farmhouse build and principal photography in 2027.

HER WAR
A SHORT FILM - PROOF OF CONCEPT
Her War was created in 2025 as an early exploration of the world that would become Alleen.
Set during the same period and centered on Willemien, the short film provided the first opportunity to bring the story’s setting, language, and characters to the screen.
