The experience making Her War has helped us shape the development of Alleen, while simultaneously providing audiences and team members a visual showcase of the story beyond the paper of the screenplay.

Alleen will expand upon the topics of Her War, following Willemien through her struggles with isolation, hostility, and all that was encompassed by the Second Boer War, and it's impact on the land and people involved.

At their core, both Her War & Alleen are simply about bearing witness to the subtle, human truths that persist even in the midst of tragedy and turmoil.
